While most know Xzibit as a west coast heavyweight in the world of rap, he was born Alvin Nathaniel Joiner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He came to fame with the song “Paparazzi” and the albums and acting roles that followed. Before the Hollywood dreams, he lived in New Mexico until he was 14. Originally from Detroit, MI- he moved around as part of a military family with a strict father.
Xzibit started rapping in 1992 when he moved to Los Angeles and was later put on by The Alkaholiks in 1995. His signature flow and gruff voice made him a major voice coming out of Cali. He would later hos the hit show Pimp My Ride on MTV. He’s worked with Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eminem and others.
