Tory Lanez placed on house arrest for allegedly punching August Alsina

Tory Lanez to wear electronic monitor as from Friday to the next trial date

More trouble comes for Tory Lanez on Wednesday (October 26) as a judge orders the rapper-singer to be placed on house arrest. Per CBS News, Lanez will wear an electronic monitor starting this Friday until his next trial in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case, tentatively set for November 28.

Prosecutors claimed that Lanez punched a man (August Alsina) in Chicago September 17. They added that the artist has “shown such a flagrant disregard for the court’s orders,” bringing up the time when he defied an order not to get 100 yards within Meg.

Although Deputy D.A Alexander Bott wanted Lanez to be held in custody without bail, Supreme Court Judge David Herriford ordered him to be placed on house arrest.

The Canadian artist’s attorney Shawn Holley told the judge that the prosecutors’ claims are “mere allegations” that “are disputed.”

“I’m not really sure that there’s anything this court should do given the unproven allegations,” the lawyer told the judge.
