The Weeknd‘s House of Balloons mixtape was a body of work that cannot go without notice when mentioning music that defined a decade of 2010-2020. He left listeners with lust, wonder, and a world looped not too far beyond the four walls in his bedroom.

“High For This,” “Wicked Games,” “The Party & The After Party,” “The Knowing:” Abel crafted 9 songs that began a hive we know as XO.

In a 2013 interview on Reddit, The Weeknd confirmed “House of Balloons” is an actual place on Spencer Ave in Toronto.

House Of Balloons, the mixtape, is now what we know as Trilogy — combined with three of The Weeknd’s projects.
