Taxstone to serve 35 years in prison
Rapper-turn-podcaster Taxstone was handed a 35-year prison sentence on Tuesday (June 20) for the 2016 murder of Troy Ave’s bodyguard, per reporter Shawn Setaro. After serving the bid, he will also spend five years in post-release supervision.
After his fate was revealed, Taxstone took to Twitter share his optimism that he will not serve the full 35 years. “Just got 35 years for being victimized and reversing the situation,” he wrote. “The beauty in it all is, I’m not doing 35. Be safe though.”
