TDE stars share love as Doechii drops cinematic new video
SZA has shown major love for her Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) labelmate Doechii, calling the Florida rapper her favorite artist in the industry right now.
“Yea doechii is my favorite artist rn hands down. Fuck the genre,” SZA wrote in a post to X on Thursday (January 2). The praise came on the same day Doechii released her captivating new music video for “Denial Is A River.”
Doechii quickly responded, “Scissoorrrrrr [heart and alligator emojis] love you sis!”
The video for “Denial Is A River” is a cinematic spectacle featuring an all-star cast including Zack Fox, Earl Sweatshirt, ScHoolboy Q, and Baby Tate. Set in a sitcom-style home, the production showcases Doechii’s meteoric rise while ending with an explosive finale.
SZA’s admiration for Doechii isn’t new. She previously hyped Doechii’s song “Alter Ego” in an unforgettable social media post, declaring it her “fucking shittt” and praising the rapper’s artistry.
