Pusha T wrote the “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle for McDonald’s

Published March 4, 2020 by

According to Translation CEO Steve Stoute,

Pusha T wrote McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle back in 2003. McDonalds have been using the “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle for their marketing campaigns and Pusha T was the composer. The fast food chain has been using the “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle in their marketing campaigns since 2003 and according to the New York Times, McDonald’s paid Justin Timberlake $6 million to sing it.

“Ba Da Ba Ba Ba. I’m loving it.” vocal hook was originally sung by Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake’s “I’m Lovin’ It” was produced by The Neptunes, Pharrell’s production duo with Chad Hugo.

A representative for Pusha T has since confirmed to Rolling Stone that Pusha T is the jingles writer.

Luckily no one tried to clown me for my McD's jingle…I woulda had to dig up pay stubs, I think u social media guys call that "metrics"

Steve Stoute, CEO of marketing company Translation, who created the “I’m Lovin’ It” campaign confirmed Pusha T was the composer of the jingle during an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden “You know who did that? Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald’s!” – Steve Stoute told Ebro.

Steve added “I can’t remember the money [received]. It was 11 years ago. Nobody was mad.” Watch from 3:20.

Pusha T and McDonald’s representatives have not responded to DailyRapFacts’s request for comment.
