On Thursday (Oct. 15), Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix to Detroit rapper Sada Baby‘s popular song “Whole Lotta Choppas” and she was 9 months pregnant when she recorded her verse. The fact was verified by songwriter Derrick Milano on Twitter. The formerly retired rapper with Trini roots dropped 2 verses on the Miami bounce-flavored cut.
The song climbed to over 1.5 million views on YouTube and took the #1 spot on the iTunes rap singles charts when it dropped. In the intro, Minaj raps about her pregnancy. This means it was recorded last month since news of her baby girl was announced on Oct. 1.

The name of the child has yet to be revealed but details will likely emerge as the new parents make them available.
