Nelly was born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. in Austin, TX on November 2, 1974. He came to fame repping the city of St. Louis in the late 1990s. His album Country Grammar put the rapper on the map in a major way. He would later become most well known for the songs “Hot in Herre“, “Dilemma” (featuring Kelly Rowland), and “Air Force Ones.”
He’s sold more than 21 million records during his career. Recently, he returned to the spotlight in a Verzuz with fellow rapper Ludacris. He has acted in the past, often appearing as himself. He is also in the fashion game with his brands Vokal and Apple Bottom Jeans.
