Published March 26, 2023 by

Meg never listened to any other femcees while growing up, but her mom and Lil Kim

Megan Thee Stallion got the inspiration to become a rapper from her mother, as well as Lil Kim. During a recent sit-down on RapCaviar Presents, the Texas native revealed that besides her mom, who was also a rapper, the first female rapper she listened to was Lil Kim.

“My mom was a rapper, right? She was a female rapper, but I had never heard of women being rappers ever because my mom was listening to UGK, Three 6 Mafia,” Meg expalined. “My daddy [listened to] Lil Wayne, like, we only listening to men in the house. But one day, my mom put on Lil Kim. Damn! She raps harder than a lot of these guys!”
