Before Charles Jawanzaa Worth was famously known as King Chip, he originally went by the moniker Chip Tha Ripper.

Starting off his career in 2006 during the Hip-Hop Blog Era, Cleveland, Ohio, rapper King Chip started off his musical career being known as Chip Tha Ripper. He collaborated on a couple songs with his fellow Cleveland Native Kid Cudi. On August 8th, 2012, he announced his name change in a tweet saying:
