Jim Jones and Hitmaka are working on a new album

Jim Jones’ album will likely land in early 2022

New York rapper Jim Jones has been hard at work in the studio and one of the projects that have been on his schedule is his collab album with producer Hitmaka. The rapper hopped on Instagram Wednesday (Dec 15), warning that the album is going be a “problem.” Hitmaka also hinted on his page the possible album title; Rain Man.

“But when I drop this @hitmaka album it’s really gone b a problem

We almost finish @empire,” Jones captioned a video of him and Hitmaka in the studio vibing on a snippet from the album.

Hitmaka shared the same clip on his page writing, “@jimjonescapo OUR ALBUM THO ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️??‍♂️ RAIN MAN ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️.”

Jones, a member of the Harlem rap crew Dipset, said earlier in the year that he had been using the quarantine period to record six albums including February’s The Fraud Department, a joint album with producer Harry Fraud. He revealed that among the albums were three other collab efforts with Scram Jones, Hitmaka, and DJ Drama. 

“After this project with Harry Fraud we dropping the one with Scram Jones. After that is Hitmaka, then DJ Drama,” the 45-year-old rapper told HipHopDX in a March interview. “We working and this is something I’ve been working on for the whole shutdown, and it’s some real quality work too. I’m proud.”
