JD wanted to see more R&B albums on the list
Apple Music has been rolling out their 100 best albums of all time list since May 13 in a batch of 10 albums from the bottom. The platform stated that the list is an “editorial statement, fully independent of any streaming numbers” on their app and “a love letter to the records that have shaped the world music lovers live and listen in.”
Jermaine Dupri took to social media noting that the list is a “disrespect” to R&B since it doesn’t include enough of the genre.
“Looking at this @AppleMusic top 100 albums list is sad, the disrespect to R&B is CRAZY!!!!! It’s giving not worthy [face palm emoji]” JD wrote on X.
