With the pandemic creeping into year 3, the silver lining that is Verzuz battles has stirred up some controversy recently. In the wake of recent battles, Jay-Z has chimed in. Timbaland and Swizz have struck gold but Jigga man dropped on Alicia Keys Twitter Spaces that “there isn’t a chance in hell” anybody is seeing him on a Verzuz stage.
He has a strong point but some think Lil Wayne or LL Cool J, or Drake could see him but that is reaching. Rick Ross has dreamed about going against Hov in a Verzuz. Don’t hold your breath brothers, Jay isn’t entertaining any of the talks. Nas is an obvious choice but from the looks of it, there won’t be a Verzuz featuring Jay-Z anytime soon.
