The Dominican Republic is one of the nations that share the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean sea. As many New Yorkers know, the culture from the DR has become a mainstay in the American melting pot, especially with respect to music and dance. According to NORE, both Juelz Santana and Fabolous are undercover Latinx rappers with roots in the DR. Th Dipset rapper doesn’t seem to know the language but he is in fact Dominican by blood.
