Gunna’s Side: Denial of Snitching and Legal Backing

Published August 26, 2025 by
Gunna has faced persistent snitching allegations ever since entering an Alford plea during the controversial YSL RICO trial. However, both he and his former lawyer, Steve Sadow, have denied these claims.

Sadow explained:

Gunna did NOT cooperate with prosecutors or provide information that harmed Young Thug’s case.

Gunna spent 8 months in jail and was released in December 2022 after entering the Alford plea, which could not be used at Young Thug’s trial.

Gunna was never named as a witness.

His sentence included a 5-year suspended sentence with no probation, travel restrictions, or living restrictions.

Meanwhile, Young Thug received a harsher punishment: 30 months in jail and 15 years probation with strict conditions.

Sadow’s message to critics was blunt:

“THOSE THAT HAVE AND CONTINUE TO BAD MOUTH GUNNA, GET OVER IT. NUFF’ SAID.”

Fat Joe’s stance reflects a strong code of loyalty in hip-hop culture, while Gunna and his camp maintain his innocence regarding the snitching accusations. The debate continues among fans and artists alike.
