Compton rapper reportedly gearing up after repeated shots from New York MC
Kendrick Lamar may finally be preparing to address Joey Bada$$, according to West Coast veteran Glasses Malone. After a string of pointed diss tracks from the Brooklyn rapper, Malone hinted that bars from Kendrick are on the way—though when remains the big question.
“Joey know sure as shit bars are coming his way,” Malone said, reacting to Bada$$’s latest diss, “Crash Dummy,” in which the Pro Era leader accuses Lamar of ducking the smoke: “Thank you for making it clear that Dot scared… I was at the party, but I also saw Top there.”
This isn’t Joey’s first attempt to bait the Pulitzer Prize-winner. On “My Town,” he declared himself the “real boogeyman” and took sharp lyrical aim, while “The Finals” doubled down, calling out both Kendrick and TDE affiliates like Daylyt and Rey Vaughn.
Despite the ongoing lyrical war, Kendrick has yet to respond publicly. Instead, Joey has been trading shots primarily with Kendrick’s camp, but his repeated taunts have raised speculation that a response from the Compton icon is inevitable.
