J. Cole played the violin from 5th to 12th grade. In 2009 he was the first chair violinist at his high school Terry Sandford Orchestra, he played theme songs from “Mission Impossible” and “Batman”.

Unfortunately there are no footage of J. Cole playing the violin back at Terry Sanford High School auditorium back in October 26, 1999.

J. Cole is also a skilled guitar player, he played bass and guitar on five songs off his 2016 album ‘4 Your Eyez Only’.
