The Corona pandemic has hugely affected the music industry. Other than the ban on large concerts, artists have also faced the problem of having to travel to places for studio sessions during the quarantine period. Drake and his engineer Noah ‘40’ Shebib have had a way to overcome the challenge.
In a recent interview with Pensado’s Place, 40 revealed that they’ve been recording together regardless of them being places apart. According to the Grammy-winning producer, he uses a software called Connect Unit that allows them to share and receive sound, in real-time. He also added that while recording, Drake is able to see 40’s Pro Tools screen, while also communicating via Zoom, FaceTime or any other video-calling services.
Drake is currently working on his next album Certified Lover Boy that was expected to arrive in January. A few days ago, the ‘Toosi Flow’ rapper announced that the album has been delayed and won’t be released this month. He said that he is still healing from his knee surgery, and is focusing on the same and the album. He did confirm that it’ll drop in 2021.
