Dealer in Mac Miller’s deadly demise enters guilty plea

The dealer accused of supplying Mac Miller with fake Percocets pills laced with fentanyl that took the rapper’s life has pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of fentanyl, TMZ has reported. Named Stephen Walter, the dealer faces 20 years or more behind bars, a lifetime supervised release, and $1 million fine.

Walter had also been charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance but the count was dropped following the plea deal.

Prosecutors say Walter indirectly supplied Mac’s alleged dealer, Cameron James Pettit, with counterfeit oxycodone tablets laced with fentanyl, that ended up killing Mac in an overdose incident.

As Walter awaits his fate, prosecutors are proposing a 17 years bid plus 5 years of supervised release. At the time he committed the crime, Walter was already under a supervised release from an earlier drug-related case.
