Common thanks ‘everyone’ who contributed to & supported the project
Common is happy to celebrate the 24th anniversary of his album, Like Water For Chocolate. Taking to Instagram on Thursday (March 28), the Windy City rapper appreciated everyone who helped put the album together and those who supported it.
“24 years ago today I released an album that would change my life. Like Water for Chocolate,” he wrote. “Thank you to everyone who created and contributed to this piece and everyone who inspired and cultivated me during that time.
“And for all those who supported this album and to this day come up to me and say it was their favorite album of mine…thank you. I receive that with Love and Gratitude.”
He went on to thank the likes of QuestLove, J Dilla, Black Thought, D’Angelo, MC Lyte, DJ Premier, Yasin Bey, and more for their contribution on the LP.
