Bardie continues to delay her sophomore album
Cardi B announces that her long-awaited second studio album will materialize in 2025 despite previously promising a 2024 release.
The Bronx rapper released her debut project, Invasion of Privacy, in April 2018, making it over six and a half years since she released another complete body of work.
During an Instagram Live session Sunday night (November 17), Cardi vowed that 2025 will “be my fucking year.”
“I’ve been feeling so emotional lately,” she told her followers. “Because I know next year is going to be my fucking year. This has been the weirdest year I have ever experienced. I don’t know what the fuck happened this year, I can’t even tell you. […] I fell in love. Then fell out of love, then got a divorce.“””
She added: “I don’t know what the fuck is going on. I’m going through a very different transition in my fucking life, and life is moving a little bit too fast. I don’t want to crash. I have to get my shit together. Next year, my album will be out, my secret businesses will be out. I can’t tell you what I’m working on. Hopefully next year I get me a little boyfriend. I’m hoe-less right now. I gotta get my shit together.”
