Bushwick Bill, real name Richard William Stephen Shaw, was born in 1966 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was a founding member of the Geto Boys. The rapper shot himself in the eye during an argument with his girlfriend. He later became a born-again Christian.
While a member of Geto Boys, Bushwick Bill delivered memorable performances on the song “Mind Playing Tricks on Me” among others. He was born with dwarfism, a condition he got from his mother. Bill died of pancreatic cancer in 2019. His lyrics were an early example of Horrorcore rap.
