Detroit rapper Baatin (hidden in Arabic) was born Titus Glover in 1974. He was a member of J Dilla’s group Slum Village. He started rapping in high school and joined the group for their first three albums. During a tour, he began having mental health issues and was diagnosed as bipolar. He was subsequently terminated from the group.
Sadly Baatin died at the age of 35 from a drug-related incident. He had reunited with the group after a brief solo venture but his project was shelved. He was survived by a son named Michael Majesty Ellis, and a daughter, Aura Grace Glover.
