50 Cent Defends Las Vegas Residency, Shuts Down Critics

Published January 21, 2025 by

50 refuses to let critics compare his Las Vegas residency to those of Usher or Breezy

50 Cent isn’t going to let his critics have the last word, especially when it comes to comparing his Las Vegas residency to that of Usher or Chris Brown.

The G-Unit frontman recently finished off a six-show run at PH Live, located within the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino complex. While the residency did receive a little flak for the audio quality, it proved to be quite the draw with audience members, even netting 50 $15 million and solidifying it as a must-see event in the City of Sin.

At the last event, 50 addressed the criticism in frank terms, saying that anyone could make claims about audio being bad. “They said the audio was bad,” he reported with a smile. Telling the audience: “Bitch, you was supposed to say something like, ’50 be doing this shit’ [gestures with hand]. Don’t say the music was bad.”

Comparing himself to Usher and Chris Brown, he quipped: “What you thought, I was going to be out here rollerblading like Usher? I saw Chris flying around Africa. I have no records that would get me flying across Africa.'”

Coming back on stage, 50 pumped the crowd for more: “If y’all not tired, let me see y’all put your hands up one for me.”

For 50, the residency is just what it says on the tins: it delivers on his nomenclature.
