The beat for French Montana and Swae Lee‘s summertime smash ‘Unforgettable’ was originally made for Drake.

During an episode of Genius’ beat deconstructed, the song’s co-producer Mac Sutphin of 1Mind revealed that the beat was made for Drake’s 2016 album ‘Views’, but after he passed on it, the beat was sent to French Montana and Swae Lee.

Unforgettable was produced by 1Mind (Sebastian Lopez, Mac Sutphin, and Michael Lohmeier),  Jaegen and CP DUBB. The song was the lead single off French Montana’s sophomore album Jungle Rules. Unforgettable peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
